Play the first and third game. Bioshock 2 is good, and if it were any other franchise it would be great, but it is a bit of a speed bump to the other two.

Make sure you read up on Ayn Rand, Quantum Field Theory, and Machiavelli before you enter into the franchise.

The sheer lack of Burnout, Grand Theft Auto, Just Cause, or Midnight Club disappoints me.

And honestly, it shouldn’t be Mario Kart, but rather the Mario franchise as a whole.

The books are very good. If you’re more interested in the story than in playing an FPS, I’d say go for it.

The Metro games are pretty difficult to run on lower end setups, but they look really good, especially the redux versions. The story is much more interesting than any other FPS series out there and I’m pretty sure that it’s entirely based off the book series. The shooting mechanics are surprisingly good too.
